Subject: TCE Co-ordinators' Forum 2009

From: john.brooks@tqa.tas.gov.au

Date: February 24, 2009

Welcome back to the new school year. The TQA will conduct its full day meeting for TCE Co-ordinators on Wednesday March 25 2009, beginning at 10:30 am and finishing around 3:30 pm.

This year our meeting venue will be the Launceston Tram Shed Function Centre at Inveresk where parking is quite convenient. The TQA will reimburse relief as required and hire car equivalent rates will be available for delegates who have to travel.

I will email a complete agenda closer to the meeting date and we will give you an updated information kit at the TCE Co-ordinators' forum. At the forum we will be considering the role of the TCE Co-ordinator in the current education and training environment. We will consider the new certification arrangements and what they will mean for your operations. We will take a detailed look at Quality Assurance across TCE offerings and what this entails for operations at the provider level. We will also spell out the TQA's communications plans for 2009 and seek your input about pressing items that we need to address.

To help us finalise catering and overall planning, please confirm your proposed attendance by emailing Sarah Guiver at or phoning her at our office on 6233 6324.

If you are not your school's TCE Co-ordinator for 2009, please pass this message onto the designated incumbent, who will need to contact Sarah with this information.

We look forward to a most productive gathering on March 25.

John Brooks Manager People and Communications TQA
